You will find a quantity of actors through the many years who have been associated with horror films and Halloween. Individuals like Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, and Peter Lorre have all had many films that were within the horror genre and that often get play around Halloween. But Jack Nicholson is an actor who has also appeared inside a quantity of horror style films yet he is rarely considered a “horror” actor. He has obviously been assisted along by the wide and varied body of roles he’s done through many years that has assisted him to steer clear of being typecast.
As an instance, one of his earliest roles is within the movie The Raven exactly where the stars are Price, Karloff, and Lorre and is âloosely’ based on the Edgar Allen Poe story of the exact same name. Produced by Roger Corman, it’s just an initial one of the films Nicholson has done with a horror theme, even though his character within the Raven isn’t a horror associated one! Actually, he also appeared within the original Little Shop of Horrors, even though again inside a non-horror associated function.
His initial acting role where his character becomes one from whom the horror emanates would be within the Shining. This film cam right after his roles in Easy Rider and Chinatown and is an early star turn in horror for him. He had a turn being the devil (supposedly) within the Witches of Eastwick and as a werewolf in Wolf.
Nicholson has also had other roles besides the horror roles and films that lend themselves to Halloween and feasible Halloween costumes. From the button down lawyer turned nearly hippie in Easy Rider to his playing the Joker within the initial Batman film, a Halloween costume could be built that’s fairly effortlessly identified as Jack, some of his other roles have a character that individuals can recognize but only right after the character is explained. Going to the costume party as McMurphy for instance isn’t a character that may be as effortlessly identified at a glance as the Joker, his Easy Rider character (a pair of white slacks, dark letter sweater and football helmet would most likely pull this one off), or a werewolf.
Jack Nicholson had produced a quantity of memorable film roles through the many years; some of them from films that may be tied to Halloween and others that require a small operation to be utilized as a costume basis.
But usually keep in mind when dealing with Nicholson and his roles â “YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!” Except most folks can exactly where Jack is concerned.

I was thrilled to meet the Barefoot Contessa, particularly since her show on the Food Network is very easy to follow and she has a home in one of my favorite parts of the country, eastern Long Island. It was interesting to learn more about her life on a recent edition of "Chefography." She used to work on energy policy at the White House!
