put vasoline onto the battery terminals, this stops the corrosion happening. also keep top of battery clean to prevent discharge across itself. test the charging of your battery by having multimeter connected to battery and with engine running turn on light to hi beam and also a/c, output to battery from alernator should only vary slightly, if it drops alot then your alternator is struggling and the various components looked at

Thanks for that information and I hope it will help me in finding the problem with my 1999 Ford Explorer and why it won't start now.

from another video… why do some cars have gears P-R-N-D, some have P-R-N-D-3-2-1, and some cars don't have gear shifters?

  4. davecc0000

    Very good explanation.

One correction: the battery voltage isn't put directly to the brushes (in the wiring diagram, when you point to the brushes it's actually a capacitor). The http://wilsonrelocation.com/?q=%D8%A3%D8%AE%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%81%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%B3 أخبار الفوركس regulator controls the current to the brushes and through the rotor windings. (The rotor winding is on the diagram just above the dashed square for the regulator. ) It's this variable current that changes the magnetic field and thereby the output from the stator windings.

    Keep up the good videos!

Extremely Informative video once again, you're like the guy from real tool reviews but for automotive troubleshooting, 👏👏 for all the time invested to make this video happen.

Excellent video and very imformative! but now I'm thinking .. on my Volvo S40 2005 I put in a new 800A 80Ah battery and upgraded my alternator from a 120A to a 150A because of cold winters and short distances, after I installed it, it was charging at 14,4V .. then I went to the dealers and they said that I should get an ECU software update too to "tell" the car it now has a 150A alt. .. so I let them update the ECU s/w and ever since the charge is around 12.7V only 😕 Am I ok with that? it's been 4 months ever since and the car starts up first time every time.

I have a very good understanding of how a alternator works but I must say you did a excellent job of explaining it's job and the inner workings of how it works for the average DIYer out there ! Nice !

  8. Peter Pan

The simplest way to check if the alternator is functioning: Just start the car and detach one battery terminal. If the engine keeps running the alternator delivers power, so the alternator is okay. With a bad alternator the engine wil stall/stop.

  9. Ali Ghaleb

Many thanks for the explanation, clear and to the point as the other vids!

  10. Louie Moscatel

Great explanation here, I'll add this to my favs just in case. Thanks Bro!

  11. Caramel.Pegasus

Thanks! very useful information as always. 🙂
Btw, what do you use to clean those terminals?I read a mix of info some saying "spill coke on it" others say "use vinegar and baking soda" …
Whats the proper way to do it? Im thinking a wire brush, some water to keep the dust down, and then add dielectric grease after its dry to isolate the metal from the sulfuric gases which causes that corrosion…. Whats your opinion on proper terminal cleaning procedures?

How to keep him in the bottle? No need for a cap. As part of the unmovable structure, add a "roof" or top for the bottle when it is in the upright position. Bottle swings down and the top goes under the "roof". Close clearance — of course.

cut the gallon from the bottom and put under the gallon a bucket with water so the mouse fall from the open end of the gallon in the bucket with water and won't be able to jump or gettin out again .

  14. Susan Farley

great trap. I wish I knew what tore a big hole in my roof and pulled out a bunch of insulation. I had been hearing what sounded like a bunch of people running around up there but have never seen what it is. have covered the hole with a metal sheet and haven't heard any more running around up there. (the sheet of metal was a sign I had found that said "no skateboarding allowed" so maybe I had skateboarders infesting my attic. lol)

  15. CosmicRyz

Idk why but your voice just reminds me of Makarov and brings back good old memories of playing MW 🙁

  16. Nhlanhla

the originality of this trap is worth congratulating. it's irrelevant whether there's a cheaper method or not; i just love the innovation. it would be great to extend the idea to catch more than just one mouse for the whole evening

  17. Trollololo

just get a cat, it's so much more fun to watch you cat Hunter Mouse then to make a trap and the cat will eventually get rid of all your mice because it will drive them away

  18. wa4aos

Enjoyed your narration as well as your clever mouse trap. up up up up up up, ide ide ide ide ide ide…LOL
    Thanks for keeping it interesting!

  19. TheGamer 500

Great video. Everyone needs this unless you're rich. Plus, I have the best poison. No mice gets by me.

  20. Tak Shing Wong

If the mouse walks on the top of the trap(outside the bottle) first, this will make the trap activities to lose function and cannot catch mouse in following

  21. Bounasser Abdelwahab

To all those people saying you should buy a premade trap, you're just not creative enough to understand.
