Great video Kat! Loved the research and little animations. I hope there'll be more of these!

  2. 🎃Chirovitrieri🎃

I NEVER heard of her!!! Black history month is needed. How many black figures? How many have we not heard of?!!! I suspect thus was on purpose. They don't want us to truly stand up to anything! Not just white supremacy…

  3. Carolyn Rodriguez

What a great video! I loved the animated segments, they really added to the viewing experience. :)

I wonder what was the point that made the old republicans turn into the disgrace that it is now?

Thank you so much for this!! I think it's so important to shine the light on black people that have blazed trails and fought so bravely against racism during their time, as a high school student I can confirm that we don't hear much of anything about awesome people like Ida B Wells. Question: What do you think about Trump changing "Black History Month" to "National African American History Month"? I'd like to hear your opinion on it. Great video as always :)

Ida B Wells was a hardcore journalist. She had her life threatened and been run out of town multiple times to report on important issues like all of the illegal lynchings

  7. Linda Mitchell

Ida B. Wells' story is important part of American history because it reflects on what we're still fighting for now. Thank you for making this video. Sharing it with everyone.

The point of black history is not to deradicalize and make black figures safe for white consumption like you have done to Ida B. Wells. In this video you forgot to mention her membership in the Afro-American League which was an organization that was against desegregation and white participation in black struggles. You forgot to mention her arguments against white civility and moral redemption which I find ironic since your whole platform is dedicated to trying make moral appeals to the consciousness of white people when Ida B. Wells made it perfectly clear in her writings that "moral suasion" doesn't work on white people because whites had given in greed and narcissism and that things like morality and civilization were beyond them, but here you come along to erase those important insights because they are not safe for the white people who watch your videos. You forgot to mention that she advocated not only the use of violence against white lynch mobs, but she also supported black retaliation against the white communities that gave rise to these lynch mobs. If we are going to support Black History Month, we need to stop trying to deradicalize black figures to make them safe for white people.

And to think some people are acting outraged because one neo-nazi got punched while advocating basically the same kind of shit that people like Ida B. Wells fought tooth and nail against…
