RGD and IABC/Toronto are partnering on a joint PD event that will explore the trends and strategies that will shape our digital world in 2017 and beyond.

More brands are bringing new technology to each stage of the audience journey, and using dynamic data in more creative ways to communicate more effectively online. Join our four interactive design and visual communication experts as they share real-life case studies of online projects that demonstrate the design communications trends shaping our digital world now and in the future.

PROGRAM
Panelists will present case studies. This will be followed by an interactive panel discussion moderated by Stussy Tschudin RGD, Founder of Forge Media + Design & President of RGD, followed by an open-format Q&A.

Vincent Galante RGD

As an experienced and cross-functional strategist, information architect and designer, Vincent has played a prominent role in the creation of online properties, applications and campaigns for some of Canada’s most recognized brands across a wide range of sectors. His clients have included Manulife Financial, Oliver & Bonacini, IBM and Food Banks Canada.

Case Study: App and kiosk created for Bonne Bay Marine Station
As consumer tech continues to challenge professional gear, consumers want to experience their entertainment where and when they want. When The Pixel Shop was asked to create a kiosk installation for a marine research station, they saw the opportunity to both challenge the cost of traditional kiosks and bring the experience into the homes of visitors.

Leanne has worked as a designer for over 15 years and has more than half a decade designing user experiences for web and mobile. She has been instrumental in developing Pivotal Labs’ unique design process which she has implemented with top-tier clients in the media, financial services, retail and healthcare verticals.

Case Study: Mobile app creation for Carnival Cruise Lines
Carnival Cruise Lines aimed to build a mobile application that would revolutionize the cruising experience for their guests. Pivotal Labs saw an opportunity to work directly with guests and staff to learn about their needs and use that research to build an experience that would connect the on-board community.

Case Study: Animated series created for Shoppers Drug Mart
Julian discusses working with Shoppers Drug Mart’s in-house team to produce a five-part animated series about its new and improved Optimum loyalty program. To show off the new app and features, the videos took the existing Optimum colourful dot motif and brought it to life with playful animation and a quick wit.

Case Study: Multi-platform native app design and development for YogaGlo across iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Watch
Working with YogaGlo, this case study documents how Nascent extended an intuitive, elegant, and consistent cross-platform app across the entire family of Apple devices, bringing YogaGlo’s interactive yoga experience to Apple’s entire product ecosystem, from the smallest smartwatch screen, to phone and tablet, to smart HDtvs.
